I'm catching up on New Hope. I have been very bad, been home for 2 months and still have not been to my home church. Digging through their sermons online really always catches me...
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Cor. 12:9-10 NIV)
Is it that we have been living too comfortably lately? A part of me is thinking that's what has been happening.
We first had the whole fraud thing and now something with the husband. As always God has a bigger plan, and it means we had probably just gotten a little too comfortable.

I like your insight. "Comfort!" I was just thinking of comfort this morning. How, it would definitely be more comfortable in other situations and circumstances. I doubt I would grow in the Lord or need Him if I was always comfortable though - and it totally jogs me when I realize I'm pulled out of my comfort or need to be. I feel like I am wrestling with this idea of entitlement. I'm entitled to feel great, and buy a new fall wardrobe - or maybe just a few sweaters, and eat out whenever - .
I just realized you commented on my blog 2 years ago! Hope you are well. I heard the first year of attending is a definite trial for docs and their wives. Mike is a fellow in Electrophysiology Cardiology. and is on the home stretch, having a little less than 2 years left.
How are you doing?
